The seat is filled with natural buckwheat hulls, and our Zabuton is filled with organic Kapok. Both are GOTS certified and ethically manufactured.
Both seat choices have pleats (fabric folds) to expand seating area for comfort and can also be adjusted in height by removing the buckwheat hulls as desired.
Crescent cushion: is flatter in height in comparison and is shaped as a half-moon to support the shape of the hips which allows weight distribution in the hip area and supports the knees to be closer to the ground.
Round cushion: is a higher seat than the crescent cushion. The higher seat allows more room for the knees to soften down and for a straight spine to be supported through tilting the pelvis forward.
